Liquid chlorine and pH (acid) feeders are an alternative for salt chlorinated pools but retain the level of time saving automation. Some people don't like swimming in salt water while others prefer it.
Unlike a salt chlorinator, a Chemigem has probes which test the water frequently and adjust chlorine and pH levels automatically. Most salt chlorinators will still need to be manually set. A salt pool is potentially more corrosive than fresh water chlorinated pool.
