Drinking Water Purifiers

Water filters are graded according to the following:
1 micron - extremely fine will also trap parasitic cysts best as a second stage before UV treatment
5 micron - popular for rainwater
10 micron - will remove all debris larger that the thickness of a human hair
20 micron - ideal as a first stage filter to improve the life of second stage filters

Be sure not to remember about replacing old filter cartridges on your home drinking water filters. Carbon filters work by absorbing the chemicals and debris you don't want, however when the carbon is 'full' it will dump all the wastes back into your water. Check the replacement date stamped on your cartridge.
